The Participatory Action Research (PAR) course engages students with faculty and staff in a collaborative process of inquiry and action for positive change at the University of Alaska Anchorage. You will learn the basics of community research, develop your leadership skills, and get a great project to list on your resume. Plus, you will be making a difference for all members of the UAA campus. The Spring 2010 research will be focused on student success at UAA. 

You do not have to be an Honors student to enroll in this course. Please consult your advisor regarding using this course for elective credit or to petition to use this as a substitute for another course.

If you are accepted into this course, we’ll pay your tuition for this 3 credit course.  In return, you will learn the basics of community research, develop your leadership skills, and get a great project to list on your resume. Plus, you will be making a difference for all members of the UAA campus!

Important information about this course:

1. You must apply to be admitted to this course. To apply for this course, please complete and submit an application by noon on Wednesday, October 28.
2. All UAA undergraduate students may apply to be admitted to this course. You do not have to be an Honors student.
3. Students admitted to the course will receive a 3-credit tuition waiver to be applied to the course.
