The University of Alaska Anchorage Consortium Library Prize lauds an exemplary undergraduate research project from any discipline which demonstrates evidence of significant scholarly investigation and utilization of library resources, archival as well as electronic. The selected student will honored with a $500 award.
Magdalene Jacobs, an English major, was awarded the 2008 Consortium Library Prize. Her paper was entitled "From Sound to Metaphor: Some Thoughts on Translation Theory". She was mentored by Dr. Jacqueline Cason, Department of English.
Lisa Healow, a History major, was awarded the 2008 Consortium Library Prize. Her paper was entitled "The Comstock Law". She was mentored by Dr. Elizabeth James, Department of History.

Shane Lopez, from Kenai Peninsula Campus, was the winner of the 2007 Consortium Library Prize. His paper was entitled "Trade on and around the Kenai Peninsula during the late 18th Century: Natives Limiting Foreign Expansion into their Territory by Controlling Trade Relations" His faculty mentor was Cathryn Pearce in the History Department at KPC.
Matt Cox, BA Philosophy, was awarded the 2007 Consortium Library Prize. His paper was entitled "Sustainable Design: Moving Toward a Responsible Building and Grounds Policy for the University of Alaska, Anchorage" His faculty mentor was Dr. Andrew Kliskey in the Biological Sciences Department.
Erin Trimble (Psychology) was selected as the recipient of the 2005 UAA Consortium Library Prize. Trimble was selected on the basis of her intensive exploration of journal literature from multiple databases and for her utilization of primary resources in the completion of her research paper entitled "An Examination of Circadian Rhythms and Self-Reported Grades of High School Students."
