Zimride is here!

Zimride is the largest online social rideshare community in North America with over 350,000 users.  Zimride has implemented private rideshare communities for over 75 of the nation's leading universities and companies including Stanford, UCLA, University of Michigan, Cornell University, Jet Blue and CIGNA.

Zimride embraces ridesharing as a social activity and integrates with Facebook and Twitter to make it fun and easy for users to share the seats in their car or find a ride.  On Zimride, participants create profiles that show their favorite in-car music, radio stations and even smoking preferences to ensure an enjoyable ride.

Hertz On Demand Logo
 Beginning in August 2011, students, staff and faculty can rent by the hour or by the day from right here at UAA. Parking Services has partnered with Hertz to have two rental vehicles on campus; a sedan available from the Bookstore/WFSC parking lot, plus an SUV available from the Housing Commons lot. Rent by the hour or by the day—gas and insurance are included.

Anchorage Share-A-Ride is a service of the Municipality of Anchorage that works to reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality by promoting alternatives to driving alone.  In addition to offering rideshare services to both commuters and employers, the program promotes transit, vanpooling, carpooling, biking and walking.
