| Check Transfer Credits - The Transfer Credit Resource Site is a tool which allows you to explore credits that have been previously transferred to UAA. Check it out at uaonline.alaska.edu then click on Transfer Credit Resource Site in the main menu. NOTE: Official transfer credit evaluations can only be obtained from UAA's Office of the Registrar after being admitted to UAA. Please allow six weeks for evaluations to be completed prior to registration.

| Apply for Admission - Choose your degree type and major. Visit the UAA Admissions web site to review requirements and apply for admission. These are the admission application deadlines:
| Fall | July 1 | | Spring | November 1 | | Summer | May 1 | - Pay the application fee by credit card (Visa or Master Card) for online applications. The application fee for a Bachelor Degree is $50; an Associate Degree is $40. NOTE: Since you may be moving to Alaska from another state, please give additional time to process paperwork so that everything is completed in a timely manner.
- Submit official test scores-SAT, ACT, or Accuplacer (for bachelor level degrees). Submit official college transcripts (in progress and final). NOTE: If you have fewer than 30 semester credits, you must also submit official copies of your high school transcript and ACT/SAT score(s) to: University of Alaska Anchorage Office of Admissions PO Box 141629 Anchorage, AK 99514-1629.

| Apply for On-Campus Housing and Meal Plans - Explore on campus housing options, download an application, and find out about meal plan options at the UAA Housing web site. Rooms are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis so apply early! NOTE: You do not need to be fully admitted to apply for housing.

| Placement Tests - Math and English classes require a placement test (SAT or ACT or Accuplacer*).
- If you have completed 30 semester credits and the Math and English pre-requisites then no test scores are required.
- If you have not taken the ACT, SAT or Accuplacer test within the last two years and have not completed Math and English pre-requisite courses, visit the UAA Advising and Testing web site or call (907) 786-4500. *Accuplacer is UAA's approved placement test to assess Math and English skills. It can be taken in addition to or in place of the SAT and ACT.

 | Contact an Academic Advisor - If you have already declared your major go to the Advising & Testing Academic Advising web site and click "Students with a declared major" on the left side of the screen to see the list of Academic Advisors for each major.
- If you are undeclared or are pursuing an Associate of Arts (AA), visit the UAA Advising and Testing web site or call (907) 786-4500.

 | Attend an Orientation Session - Orientation is not just for first-time freshmen anymore! Tour the campus, meet with an advisor, register for classes, and meet students.
- You can choose from an Evening Orientation (for both graduate & undergraduate students), the Age 30 and Over Luncheon, Out-of-Area Student Orientation, the Big Wild Orientation (an Alaskan Outdoor Experience), UAA Fusion (a community service orientation).
- Check out the Orientation web site or call (907)786-1224 for more information about upcoming sessions.

| Register for Classes - Before you can register for classes, you must have applied for admission to UAA. NOTE: You do not need to be fully admitted to register for classes.
- To find registration information, access the class schedule online at uaonline.alaska.edu.
- To register online, you will need your student ID number (3xxxxxxx) and PIN. Log onto UAOnline, select "Student Services & Account Information," and choose the "Registration" option. NOTE: You should always print your bill and class schedule when you complete your registration.

| Follow-Up - There are three areas to follow-up on - the status of your Admission, Financial Aid, and Campus housing. Go to UAOnline or call (907)786-1480 to ensure that your file is complete in order to be admitted to the university.
