The purpose of this committee is to determine UAA’s Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) compliance with federal law and advise the University as to the best course of action regarding NAGPRA issues.

Important Updates
  • April 18, 2012: Minor amendments to the NAGPRA regulations have been published in the Federal Registrar. Click here to view the proposed ruling.

  • The National NAGPRA Program launched its official YouTube channel to provide the public with an eight-part series of training videos. One of the videos entitled "The Development of NAGPRA" can be viewed below. More videos can be viewed here.
