DESK ATTENDANTS - Work Study preferred (Open Pool - apply at any time)
Student Wage: Level A

Requirements - The ideal candidate for this position must be friendly, assertive and have the ability to work multi-line telephone and able to remain calm during difficult situations. Applicants are expected to exhibit leadership potential and possess the skills to work effectively with others as part of a diverse team. Applicants must possess a 2.0 or better cumulative GPA upon application.

Responsibilities - Desk Assistants (DAs) provide quality customer service at the front desks located in the UAA's residence halls. DAs serve as a resource to residents, staff, faculty and guests by helping acquaint them with the university and Anchorage community. They assist in creating an energetic living environment that is supportive and caring for our diverse population. Staff members perform equipment check-out and inventory, reserve building space, and monitor hall lobby activity.
