Position Type:  Student Assistant A

Positions Available: Peer Mentor or Programming Assistant

Pay Rate:  $8.50 per hour for desk duty/optional, up to 4 hours per week plus a $750 discount on a single suite

Duration:  August 10, 2014-May 6, 2015

The Department of Residence Life supports on-campus housing for 950 students and works in partnership with University Housing & Dining Services. Our program provides leadership training, experiential learning, awareness of diverse lifestyles and cultures, co-curricular programs and activities (educational and social), and behavioral accountability. Residence Life's student development approach focuses on enriching each student's higher education experiences by delivering high quality, student-centered programs and services.


Working as either a Peer Mentor (PM) or Programming Assistant (PA) is an enjoyable and challenging experience, and provides opportunities to gain marketable skills in human relations, customer service, time management, and team building that few other positions can offer.


The selection process is highly competitive and our applicants have fun and learn from the experience.


Financial Aid information:

In addition to an hourly wage for Desk Attendant duty (optional), PMs and PAs receive a $750 discount on a single suite. Students who use state and federal loans to cover college expenses, and who are selected for either a PM or PA position will need to visit with a financial aid advisor to ensure the FAFSA data reflects this information.
