Pay Rate: $10.50 per hour, with a free single room in a shared on-campus apartment during summer

Duration: Full-time (40 hours per week): May 6 - August 24, 2013

Duration: Part-time (20 hours per week): August 25 - September 7, 2013

Thank you for considering our Welcome Week Leader/Summer Office Assistant position. The successful applicant is responsible for planning, organizing and leading the Welcome Week activities/events in the residential community for Fall 2013. Welcome Week is a 12-day series of approximately 40 educational, community building and social programs in the residential community to kick off the start of the Fall semester.  

The Welcome Week/Summer Office Assistant also work in the Residence Life main office, and will answer telephones, handle all walk-in traffic, and assist with administrative office support. The successful applicant may also be assigned other projects throughout the summer. This position will provide opportunities to gain marketable skills in human relations, customer service, time management, planning and coordination of programs and events, advertising, and team building that few other positions can offer. This position requires individuals who are responsible and able to work well with people from diverse backgrounds.

The Welcome Week Leader/Summer Office Assistant will start on Monday, May 6, 2013, and will work 40 hours per week during the summer until fall classes begin, then will be reduced to 20 hours per week until the position ends on September 7, 2013. The successful applicant will be expected to work Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
