The purpose of the Quanterra Scholarship Fund is to offer financial assistance for tuition and other educational expenses to full-time or part-time students who are formally admitted into an Engineering or Science degree-seeking program at the University of Alaska Anchorage and who are of Alaska Native ethnicity.

Award amount is a minimum $500 per academic year.

Qualifications:

• Applicant should demonstrate motivation, academic and leadership potential.
• Applicants must be in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 for undergraduate and 3.0 for graduate.
• Applicant must be formally admitted into an Engineering or Science degree-seeking program at the University of Alaska Anchorage by the start of the semester of the award.
• Applicant may also be in the Masters of Civil Engineering Program, Master of Science Program, Associate of Applied Science Program for Petroleum Engineering Aide or Petroleum Technology, or working toward a Petroleum Technology Certificate.
• Applicant must plan on enrolling at least half-time (six (6) credits) at the University of Alaska Anchorage.
• Applicant must be able to demonstrate financial need.
• Applicant must be enrolled in the semester for which the award is made.
• Applicant must be of Alaska Native ethnicity.
• Applicant must provide proof of Native Corporation Affiliation and Lineage Verification.
• Preference will be given to students in the Petroleum Technology Program or the Chemistry Program.
• Applicant may be an incoming or continuing student at the University of Alaska Anchorage.
