The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance for tuition and other educational expenses to students pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work at UAA.  The scholarship will be awarded in the recipient's junior year to be used for senior year.  Student will qualify when recognized for exceeding expectations and growth as a successful student.  This scholarship is named for the donor's mother, Syril Zeiger, who also "rooted for the under dog".

Award amount shall be a minimum of $500

Qualifications

• Recipient must be a student attending the University of Alaska Anchorage
• Recipient must be pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work
• Student will qualify when recognized for exceeding expectations and growth as a successful student
• This scholarship will not be based on financial need or criteria other then listed above
