New Student Application Procedure
Students applying to any School of Engineering degree program can use the main University on-line application website at: http://uaonline.alaska.edu/ , select "Apply for Admission", complete the online application and pay the application fee. Then have your high school and/or college transcripts sent to the admissions office, along with your ACT or SAT scores. (Or you can take the Accuplacer test at the Advising and Testing department in the University Center).
That is all there is to it! After your application is reviewed, you will receive an email stating your acceptance into the program or the status of your application.
Non-Declared or Change-of-Major Student Application Procedure
If you are changing from a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or another Bachelor of Science (BS) degree to a degree within the School of Engineering, then complete a Change-of Major form. The form is submitted to the receptionist in ENGR 201. Note: The "Change-of-Major" form can be used only for changing degrees on the same level i.e. Associate to Associate or Bachelor to Bachelor. Otherwise the "New Student" procedure needs to be used.
Transfer Student Application Procedure
Same procedure as "New Student" (includes UAF or UAS transfers to UAA as well as from out-of-state schools).
