Who is qualified for this program?

In most instances, undergraduate degrees in the physical sciences, life sciences, or engineering are sufficient background to meet course prerequisites. Applicants not meeting these requirements may be accepted at the discretion of the admissions committee. What are the admissions requirements?

How much does the program cost?
The Graduate Certificate in Environmental Regulation and Permitting consists of four courses at normal graduate tuition cost plus fees. Current tuition and fees can be found at UAOnline http://uaonline.alaska.edu/
How can I apply for the program?

Students should submit an application on the UA Online site. The required application materials to be submitted to Admissions include:

  • A completed UAA graduate application form;
  • Official transcripts of all college-level work;
  • Official GRE scores (general examination or subject-specific in a relevant subject area)

In addition, please submit to the School of Engineering:

  • Three letters of recommendation from people familiar with the applicant's technical aptitude; and
  • A one-page statement of the applicant's career goals.
