Spring 2012 ESM Departmental Scholarship

During most academic years the ESM department has the privilege of awarding a number of students’ financial assistance through scholarships, tuition awards, and work opportunities (graduate assistantship or research assistantships).  Please complete the form and application materials below to be considered for this aid.

PLEASE NOTE: The ESM department asks that students make arrangements for the full payment their student accounts, regardless of award outcomes. The ESM department is not able to take any responsibility that successful applicants will have their awards applied by the university payment deadline. Any late fees or penalties applied to student accounts will remain the responsibility of that student.


2012 Fellowship Program

The Hydro Research Foundation will be funding 8-12 Fellowships. These Fellowships are worth $46,400 to $79,600 and are open to graduate students who will complete their Masters degree or post-Masters research by December 30, 2012.

The 2012 Application is now available online.  Applications are due March 1st, 2012.  Selection announcements will be made on April 4th, 2012 for funding beginning as early as June 15th, 2012.

GSA Scholarships

Fall 2011 - GSA Scholarship Request for Proposal

The submission deadline is October 28, 2011 at 5PM. Submissions will be reviewed from October 28th-November 13th. Students will be informed of the decisions on November 14th. Disbursements can be processed in as few as 14 days.

The UAA Graduate Student Association (GSA) requests proposals each spring and fall for awards to assist advanced level studies and research at the University of Alaska Anchorage.  Awards of up to $1000 are available. Preference will be given to graduate students, however, all UAA students who meet the eligibility requirements may apply.
