The UAA Nursing Resource Center (NRC) is comprised of three different areas; the skills labs, the simulation labs, and the computer lab. The skills and simulation labs are located on the second floor of the Health Sciences Building (HSB) while the computer lab is located on the first floor of the Professional Studies Building (PSB). The skills labs include two different rooms equipped with materials necessary for teaching technical and assessment skills. The simulation labs are equipped with a variety of low-fidelity, med-fidelity, and high-fidelity mannequins, which allow students to practice assessment, critical thinking, intervention skills, and procedures. The purpose of the NRC is to provide a supportive, learning environment where nursing students can enhance and challenge their ability to provide holistic patient care through the development of assessment, communication, critical thinking, organizational, and psychomotor skills. If you need more information about the NRC, please utilize the contact information below.
