School of Social Work: Field Education AgenciesPlacement sites must be with an established organization that provides, regulates, or establishes policy for a social service function to a population at-risk, provides access to the service for individuals without financial resources, and represents organizationally a set of values consistent with those of the profession of social work. Every effort is made by the field faculty to recruit a wide range of agencies, field instructors, and client populations served that reflect the diversity of the community.

Practicum PossibilitiesPlease note that the agencies posted on this website are suggested practicum placement sites. Many factors go into the final decision of a placement; please do not assume that because an agency is posted here it is automatically available as a placement. Many of the agencies are particular about whether they host BSW, MSW, Foundation, or Concentration students, and because these criteria can change we do not post that information. As you browse through the posted agencies please remember that the purpose is to offer you possibilities. A posted agency is not a guaranteed placement. Agency suggestions are welcome; your field education coordinator is always interested in possible placement sites. |
