2011 MSW Schedule Survey Report
During the 2010-2011 Academic Year, the MSW Curriculum Committee explored the possibilities of restructuring the MSW Program Delivery Method. A variety of programs across the U.S. were reviewed but the most thoroughly examined were Case-Western Reserve University, University of Louisville's Kent School of Social Work, and the University of Washington Tacoma, which also included a telephonic meeting with Rich Furman, then Director of the UW/T School of Social Work.
In late-April 2011, four alternative scheduling scenarios were approved by the MSW Curriculum Committee and faculty for inclusion in a survey that would be distributed to 2007-2011 graduates and the current concentration students in the class of 2012. The survey was distributed during the Fall 2011 semester.
Using Qualtrics, an online survey software that UAA makes available for survey research, the survey questionnaire link was distributed to 139 graduates/students via e-mail, with the assistance of Sharie Field, Academic Assistant, UAA School of Social Work. Eighteen were undeliverable resulting in a total N of 121. Ninety individuals participated in the survey for a response rate of 74.3%.
The following link will open the report which highlights the results of the survey.
We welcome any comments you might have concerning the survey and thank everyone for their contribution of time and input on this project.
