Message from Chancellor Ulmer
Welcome to the Strategic Planning website. UAA 2017, the strategic plan for the University of Alaska Anchorage, is the product of many conversations and discussions carried on across the university over a twenty-month period in 2006 and 2007. I want to thank all of the members of the university community who devoted their time, minds, and good will to this task. I especially want to thank Provost Mike Driscoll, his staff, Professor Emeritus Will Jacobs, and the members of the PBAC Strategic Planning Sub-Committee for taking the lead in bringing the plan to successful completion. Thanks, too to the members of Commonwealth North, the Education Committee of the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce, the academic leadership of the Anchorage School District, and the UAA Board of Advisors for contributing valuable public perspective to the plan.
We are using the strategic plan to guide budget decisions so that our resources will reflect our priorities.
