No period for a few months; gaining weight in my stomach; took three pregnancy tests, all negative; no pregnancy symptoms and have used condom every time. When I feel like I have to pee, only a little comes out, and pain around my right ovary/side. Dr. says everything seems normal.
Thank you for your question. You state that a doctor has told you that everything seems normal, I'm not sure if this is for missing one menses or for the right sided pain. I would encourage you to get rechecked with the decreased urine production and right sided abdominal pain. You may have a bladder infection, kidney stone, STI (sexually transmitted infection), or an ovarian cyst. It is great that you are aware of your body, and note when you feel changes which cause concern. It is also very important to keep track of your menses when you are sexually active, and using only condoms for birth control. Make an appointment with your health care provider, or with the UAA Student Health and Counseling Center if you are an eligible student.
