We are particularly affected by newly enacted regulations that forbid drug companies to sell us contraceptives at reduced prices. For example, we used to be able to purchase the Nuva ring for $6. It now costs $35. This is almost a 500% increase! Oral contraceptives also increased the same amount. And we dispense a lot of contraception. The charges for these items that are passed on to students is minimal.”
