Debra Ragen-Coffman is a Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA) and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). She joined the staff of the Student Health and Counseling Center as a Counselor/Educator in July, 2009. Debra has 30 years of experience living in Alaska and working as a counselor in the community. She brings her diverse experience and psychodynamic perspective to her work. She enjoys helping people learn to cope with life issues including adjustment to college life, anxiety, depression, self esteem, grief and loss, body image, and eating disorders. She is excited to be part of the SHCC team and to have the opportunity to meet with the students and staff of UAA.
Debra enjoys long walks on the beach, bicycling, aerobics, traveling, meeting new people, and spending time with family, friends, and her beagle.
