Lizzy Donovan earned her Master’s degree in Counseling from Regis University in 2004. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Colorado, Boulder with a double major in Women’s Studies and Sociology in 1998. Lizzy also completed a Certificate in Contemplative End of Life Care through Naropa University in 2005. Lizzy is licensed as a Professional Counselor in Alaska and Colorado.
Prior to moving to Alaska, Lizzy worked in a variety of settings supporting optimal emotional and cognitive growth in children, adolescents and their families. Lizzy has worked with students with unique learning and emotional needs, youth in a multitude of systems including juvenile justice, foster care, and complex school systems, and adolescents with co-occurring substance, mood and anxiety concerns. Lizzy also has training and experience in Play therapy, Family Therapy, Trauma, Crisis, and Bereavement.
When not at work, Lizzy can be found exploring the mountains of Alaska on bike, foot, or skis with her husband, daughter, and two dogs.
