A long-time Alaskan, Nancy grew up in Palmer, Alaska. After graduating from UAF (with a BA in English), she moved to Anchorage and began a career with ASD. After almost three decades, a Masters Degree, and teaching thousands of students at Dimond High School, she retired and began working here at UAA.
Nancy, her husband, and their two children have lived in Anchorage for the past thirty years. She enjoys spending time on her laptop, working on the family website, reading, walking, kayaking (along with many other Alaskan activities), and travel. One of her favorite travel adventures involves a 2004 European trip, a visit to the Munich Alte Pinakothek, and Leonardo da Vinci.
