Hand-made, non-commercial items are defined as:

  • Any product that is built, formed, fabricated, or assembled from raw or semi-finished material which is changed in character in the final product by the crafter’s business.
  • A product that is sold after undergoing a “value-added process.” This is a process that changes raw material or basic industrial material into a more finished product or alters the function, shape, or appearance resulting in a product with increased value.
  • A product that requires individual attention and is produced in small quantities with a minimum number of power tools as a home occupation or small studio operation.

Commercial, non-qualifying vendors are defined as:

  • Any vendor who sells their product(s) in large commercial stores such as Carrs/Safeway, Fred Meyer, or Wal Mart. Co-ops and consignments are not considered in this category.
  • Vendors with their own store fronts with business signage, regular store hours, and year-round operation.

Other Fair Rules:

  • No booth sharing.
  • Each craftsperson/artesian must be present during the day of the fair.
