Rental equipment is available to UAA students, staff, faculty, and card-carrying Alumni. A current ID card is required. Each person may rent up to two pieces of the same kind of equipment at any one time, depending upon availability.

Reservations may be made up to two weeks in advance. A full deposit is required at the time of reservation and will be forfeited if the reservation is canceled less than 24 hours before the rental is to begin.  Cancellations may be made in person or in writing.   No telephone reservations will be accepted. 

A rental day is 24 continuous hours.   Rental weekends are from noon Friday to no later than noon Monday (except for University holidays). The renter is responsible for checking to see that all equipment is complete and in safe working order. Renters use all equipment at their own risk. Returns will only be accepted during posted hours.

Persons returning equipment late may be charged the daily rate for each day, including partial days. The deposit may be applied to the cleaning, repair, lost rental income, and/or replacement costs of equipment at the discretion of the Student Union staff.

Due to liability reasons the Student Union staff will no longer be assisting in the loading and unloading of canoes or kayaks on to vehicles. All responsibility for tying the boats down is solely the renters.
