Dance EnsembleThe UAA Dance Ensemble is a student dance company of the University of Alaska Anchorage. It provides opportunities to improve and expand dance technique in a variety of styles, and to participate in the creation and presentation of original choreographic works.

Participation in the UAA Dance Ensemble requires a minimum of a year commitment (fall and spring semesters). Upon acceptance, members are required to register for DNCE A365, Dance Repertory and Performance (3 credits), and DNCE A321, Intermediate Modern I (2 credits).

Ensemble members are expected to participate in a least two dance productions during an academic year, which also means additional time for rehearsals and performances. For information on this year's productions, visit the Productions page.

UAA Department of Theatre and Dance provides most of the administrative, educational, financial and technical assistance for the Ensembles. Ensemble members also participate in fundraising events through the UAA Dance Club so that the company can continue to have the extraordinary opportunities to work with internationally recognized guest artists, gain valuable contacts in the community, and receive financial assistance for traveling and research.
