General Policies for Performance SpacesAccessibilityThe Mainstage and Harper Studio Theatre are accessible with wheelchair seating. Please let us know when making your ticket purchase if you have any requests that need accommodation, such as hearing or sight impaired, use of a wheelchair, etc. ChildrenChildren under five are not permitted - NO BABES IN ARMS. All patrons, including children, must hold a valid ticket to the event. The UAA Department of Theatre and Dance offers a wide range of programming, and age-appropriateness varies. Certain performances may be deemed unsuitable for children. If a guideline is not advertised, the director will be available in advance via phone or e-mail to advise patrons regarding suitability of a show for minors. Emergency ContactIf you need to leave a contact number for a sitter or relative, please use the University Police Department number (786-1120). Also, be sure to give them the venue name (Mainstage - Fine Arts 220, Harper Studio - Fine Arts 129) as well as your seat location and the name your tickets are under. ParkingFree parking is available Friday/Saturday/Sunday at UAA. There is a large parking lot adjacent to the Fine Arts Building, as well as handicap spaces directly in front of the main entrance. Tickets may be exchanged PRIOR to the original date with an exchange fee of $3.00 per ticket. RestrictionsThe operation of cameras, video/digital recorders, cell phone cameras, or other recording devices are strictly prohibited during all performances. All cell phones, pagers, watch alarms, etc. must be silenced or turned off upon entering the performance spaces. If you must use your cell phone during intermission, please remember to turn it off before re-entering the theatre. Smoking PolicyUAA maintaings smoke free facilitites. Smoking is not allowed anywhere in UAA buildings. Patrons may smoke only in the designated areas outside of the Fine Arts Building. Smoking by actors may be necessary for accurate portrayal of individual characters or the truthful telling of the story and is not intended to be construed as approval or glorification of the behavior of smoking. Late Seating PolicyFor the convenience of patrons who arrive on time and for the safety of those arriving late, latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the House Manager. You might not be seated in your assigned seats until intermission. For your own safety, we ask you to remain seated until the house lights go up. Seating LimitsDue to safety regulations, we are required to limit the number of patrons attending each performance. On occasion, we may have to decline further ticket sales to remain in compliance. To ensure availability for a specific show, please purchase your ticket(s) in advance. |
