"Recycling 101"
How does recycling work at UAA?
Recycling at UAA is slightly different than how you throw your trash away. To recycling at your own department, work-space, or desk, simply fill out a request form, located at our web-site, and we will bring you and/or your department a main recycle bin, and add you to a weekly pick-up schedule. With the exception of the summer schedule, we make regular weekly pick-ups for the main UAA campus and off-campus buildings on Fridays. Because the recycle crew works during regular office hours, and we have a limited number of workers, we cannot pick-up from your personal desk or work space. We ask that you help us out by emptying your personal recycle box or bin into the main recycle bin in your department. For a list of these main bins please visit the "Locations" page on our web site. These main bins will be either a 32 gallon rectangle blue bin, or a 50 gallon square blue bin. For a complete list of what you can recycle, please look at our "What We Recycle" list on our web site.

If you have any additional questions, please e-mail the director of recycling, Tyler Morris, at recycle@uaa.alaska.edu, Thanks.
