Visitor Parking

Visitors to campus may park without prior arrangement using the "Pay and Park" machines, at parking meters located around campus or the Parking Garages.

Pay and Park machines accept US coin and currency (NO PENNIES), VISA and MasterCard at the rate of $2.00 per hour.  The machine will issue a receipt for the time requested and that should be placed on the driver's side of the front windshield, on the dash.

Meters accept US coin (NO PENNIES) at a rate of $2.00 per hour for up to 2 hours.  Regardless of permit status, ALL users must pay to park in the metered spaces.  If the meter is not functioning properly it is a NO PARKING ZONE; you must find a working meter or use the "Pay and Park" machines to park in a regular space in the lot.

Day passes are also available at our office (Campus Bookstore Basement), the Consortium Library Circulation Desk, or the Campus Bookstore. Day passes are valid in all surface parking lots, not in metered spaces. Day passes are $10 each.

Busses and Shuttles

People Mover

People Mover is the name for the public tranportation system serving the greater Anchorage area. You can get detailed maps and times from the People Mover website. You can see the bus stops located on the Anchorage campus using the campus map.

Seawolf Shuttle

UAA operates a free on campus shuttle service. You can see the shuttle stops on the campus map. You can view the shuttle schedules online.
