WWAMI Class CaptainsIn fall 1971, the first Alaska WWAMI Class began its medical education at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. 40 years later, we will welcome the 41st class of Alaska WWAMI at the University of Alaska Anchorage. The 40th Anniversary Celebration coincides with the creation of the new UAA College of Health and the opening of a state of the art Health Sciences Building where the entering class of 2011 will begin classes in August. The 40th Anniversary Celebration Alaska WWAMI is scheduled for Saturday, September 10, 2011 in Anchorage at the new UAA Health Sciences Building. The celebration will include tours of the new Health Science Building, briefings on the status of medical education in Alaska and an alumni reunion dinner party in a heated tent.
