Enjoy the Alaskan summer on campus
The University provides approximately 75 single-person spaces in the MAC Apartments for students enrolled in summer sessions. To be eligible for summer student housing, students must be enrolled in a minimum of 3 credits over the course of the summer or be employed by UAA Housing, Conference Services, Residnece Life or ANSEP summer programs.
Each apartment contains a shared living room, kitchen, and bathroom, in addition to four single-person bedrooms. Apartments are fully furnished, including a dishwasher, dining table, sofas, chairs, desks, and beds (mattresses are 36"x80").
Residents will need to provide their own linens, pillows, blankets, cookware, and eating utensils. There is a coin operated washer/dryer facility on-site. The apartments are about a 10-minute walk from the library, Student Union, sports center, and classrooms.
Guest Housing for Non-Students
UAA also offers economical guest lodging in the summer for non-students. Please see the UAA Conference Services website for more information on summer housing options.
The Application Process for Summer Student Housing
All students interested in summer housing, including current housing residents, must complete a Summer Housing Application on UAOnline. New students will need to pay a $300 deposit and $60 application fee at the time of application. Summer Housing Applications will be available in early March. Click here for instructions on how to complete the online housing application.
Services for Students with Disabilities
A number of the apartments are specifically designed to accommodate students with both temporary and permanent disabilities. Students who experience disabilities and need housing-related adjustments or accomodations should notify the Housing Office and the Office of Disability Support Services.
