Upcoming Closures

Starting July 5th, If you take Northern Lights Boulevard near UAA to work keep an eye out for
this upcoming road closure.

Municipality of Anchorage (MOA) work crews will be replacing a creek culvert that collapsed under the road. The road will be fully closed so that the creek can be diverted during construction. MOA will keep the project page updated as additional information becomes available.

Construction will take about 30 days, with Northern Lights Boulevard reopening in July.

Parking Garage

Parking at UAA is available in any surface lot on campus. Parking garages will be closed for summer semester as part of the ongoing effort to curb the spread of COVID 19. Parking Services request that students, staff, and faculty to park in the main lots on campus. Summer semester permits are available from IParqHourly and daily permits can be purchased contactless from your mobile device by Passport.

Please watch for closure notices at the entrance of each garage. Thank you for your understanding and continuing to reinforce a culture of safety at UAA.

Restricted areas including fire lanes, loading zones and ADA parking will remain enforced as marked.
For students living on campus, a free permit to park in housing lots will be required and is available from University Housing. If you have already purchased a parking permit for the fall semester, Parking Services will automatically issue you a refund.

Permit parking will return for the fall 2021 semester. Please contact Parking Services with questions at (907) 786-1119 or by emailing uaa_parkingfrontdesk@alaska.edu.
