Transportation Alternatives

Like the Seawolf Shuttle service, many other transportation options are available to current students, staff and faculty.

  • Biking

Store your personal bike in a dry place!

    • Covered bike racks are available on campus at the Library, RH and CPISB.
    • Bike lockers are also available at the Central Parking Garage, and behind the Student Union.  Lockers are rentable by the hour, day or semester.  The locker takes a quarter, but once you return the key, your quarter is refunded.

UAA's Bike-Share Program -  Yes! Those bright yellow bikes with baskets you see in front of the Student Union are totally available for rent and they can come in handy when traversing our 362 acre campus!  Simply stop by the Student Union Information Desk (907-786-1204) or the Commons Information Desk (907-751-7202) to fill out the proper forms and away you go!

Hitch a ride to the U-Med on the People Mover, and bring your bike along!  Here's a quick how-to video on riding the People Mover with your bike.  Details on the People Mover bus service are below.

Bike maps also help you navigate Anchorage.  Visit the Student Union or Parking Services office for a paper map.
