UA Network Upgrade May 2, 2024 00:00-23:59 AKDT
What: UA Office of Information Technology will be replacing network equipment for a UA wide network circuit beginning Thursday, May 2 at 12 AM, to 11:59 PM.

Why: To enhance the performance, reliability, and security of our network.

Result: Network traffic will be routed to an alternate route before 6 AM and then restored to the normal route after 10 PM.

Any Issues: If you experience issues connecting to the network after the network equipment is replaced, don't hesitate to get in touch with the Technical Support Center.

Portland Core Router Upgrades May 2, 2024 06:00-22:00 AKDT
No loss of connectivity is expected, some traffic slowness may occur, but is not expected. OIT Engineers will be on-site in Portland to perform router upgrades in anticipation of activation of our new 40Gbps circuits. Traffic will be re-routed through a different path while upgrades are performed.

Update - There is currently an outage with the Fairbanks to Seattle internet network path which ACS is working to resolve. We may experience some internet slowness or network drops as a different route is being switched over too.
Tonight ACS will be performing emergency maintenance from 10pm to 1am. During this time services such as Google and Microsoft may be impacted and temporarily become unavailable. It is expected for unavailability to be in short bursts and not down for the entire window.

Scheduled - What: UAA IT Services will be updating me.UAA beginning Thursday, April 18 at 5:15 AM to 6 AM.

Why: The ELMO software update for me.UAA fixes a minor bug.

Result: Starting at 5:15 AM, me.UAA will be offline for account lookups and password changes. Once the update is complete, me.UAA will be available again.

While me.UAA is unavailable, you can use UA ELMO as a workaround.

Any Issues: If you experience issues looking up your account, or changing your password after me.UAA is updated, don't hesitate to get in touch with the Technical Support Center.
