In response to the COVID-19 global pandemic, the University of Alaska Anchorage has taken steps to protect the health and safety of our campus community. The UAA Office of Equity and Compliance:

Upholds and enforces the university’s non-discrimination and harassment policies

Educates community about policy, practices and prevention efforts

Connects people to the necessary resources, if they have experienced any form of harassment or discrimination

Listens to and assesses the concerns of the community, in order to take a proactive approach to community safety 

If you have experienced any form of harassment, discrimination or retaliation, you can make a report to the Office of Equity and Compliance.  We will contact you to discuss your options and rights, and if you choose, we can investigate the incident to determine if there has been a policy violation.

All reports made to the Office of Equity and Compliance are kept confidential.  If you have concerns, or do not want to make a report, we can discuss your other options and resources.

If you have witnessed or learned about any form of harassment, discrimination or retaliation, you can also make a report

We investigate all forms of sexual misconduct (often referred to as rape or sexual assault), dating or intimate partner violence, stalking, etc.

The Office of Equity and Compliance also investigates harassment, discrimination and retaliation claims related to all other protected classes.
