Off Campus Placement Guidelines

The University of Alaska is committed to providing a safe and healthy educational and work environment in which educational programs, employments, and activities are free of discrimination.  Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972 is a federal law that specifically prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex and gender. It establishes the principle that all students should be free to participate fully in their educational experiences regardless of their gender.   Sexual violence and sexual harassment are actions which violate Title IX protections for students, faculty, staff and visitors.
