The 2013 UAA Academic Assessment Seminar engaged faculty expertise regarding General Education Requirement assessment at UAA, shared national perspectives on assessment, and showcased some of UAA's own college and program assessment practices. The program offered a GER Assessment Workshop where participants engaged in conversations around the ways they contribute to the GER Student Learning Outcomes, how they integrate the outcomes into the courses they teach, and how they know learning is taking place. Additionally, Keynote speaker Dr. Robert Mundhenk provided an overview of national trends in assessment, focusing on the value of assessment relative to teaching and learning. Current program and college academic assessment models in use at UAA were showcased in the best practices session.
