Archaeology Day

October 15th, 2016, 10AM to 4PM

Paul White

Come explore the professions of anthropology and archaeology! You can try to shoot a (fake) bison using a spear throwing board (atlatl), learn about the human skeleton, find artifacts in a mock dig, make stone artwork or petroglyphs, and so much more.

Everybody is welcome. This free event will feature displays and activities for all ages (children and adults). Demonstrations and activities will be led by professional archaeologists who work throughout the state.

All displays are at the University Center (3801Seward Highway). For more information, please contact the UAA Anthropology Department at 907-786-6840.
