Learning Outcomes

  • Utilize camera functions and capabilities for documentary and artistic expression.
  • Explore visual concerns that make for effective and interesting photographs that communicate the student’s intent.
  • Demonstrate the role of aesthetics in the development of commercial or artistic works.
  • Explore and experiment with new materials, techniques and equipment.
  • Demonstrate the embodiment of clear concepts/ goals in exhibiting content achieved through the application integration of experimental concepts and personal ideas showing technical excellence, originality and imaginative imagery.
  • Demonstrate technical excellence in the skills of traditional, non-traditional and digital camera handling, processing and production of photographic artwork, including studio lighting skills.
