Graham Dane was born in Maidenhead, a small town just west of London. He studied art and art history at Oxford Brookes University, life drawing at St. Martin's School of Art, London and completed a Masters in Art History at Birkbeck, London in 2013.
As a painter he has exhibited and worked internationally, been an arts reviewer, a fine art screenprinter. an elementary art school teacher, a freelance exhibition curator, a reluctant academic who has taught art history in the UK and at UAA previously where he has previously taught drawing, painting and two-dimensional design. Graham has completed some thirty artist-in-residencies in both the United Kingdom and Alaska.
Currently Graham is a member of the Anchorage Municipal Arts Advisory Commission.
