Research Interests

My Ph.D. research investigated how neuroendocrine stress alters physiology and life history trade-offs during critical windows of development. Much of my work in this area focused on trade-offs between growth, development, and immune function in amphibian larvae. In my current postdoctoral research, with Dr. Kat Milligan-Myhre, I am investigating how neuroendocrine stress, developmental stage, host genetic background, and gut microbiota affect the inflammatory response in the gastrointestinal tract of threespine stickleback.
