The Educational Leadership program is designed for individuals seeking advanced professional preparation to become school leaders. The program specifically prepares individuals for principal or teacher leadership positions. Program options include a Master of Education (MEd) in Educational Leadership, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Educational Leadership with a Principal endorsement for grade levels K-8 or 7-12. All programs are developed to meet the Educational Leadership Constituent Council (ELCC) guidelines for personnel preparation.
The Educational Leadership program offers courses online via Blackboard Collaborate
web conferencing in order to serve the entire state of Alaska. These courses meet
weekly on a specific day and time in a virtual classroom. Anyone with reliable internet
access, a computer, and microphone can participate in our online courses.
