Rural Health CTEPS

Rural Health Career and Technical Education Programs of Study

In response to the shortage of career and technical education instructors in rural Alaska, the Alaska AHEC partnered with the State of Alaska Department of Education and Early Development. Rural Health CTEPS provide districts with qualified instructors to implement career pathways in a format that best meets the needs of each school.

These 4-course CTEPS are offered by request in partnership with school districts across the state. Each course includes an industry recognized credential with two courses offered in local communities and two residential courses offered in Anchorage at UAA.

Each course is equivalent to 0.5 high scool credits and 2 college credits
