Division of Population Health Sciences
Offering undergraduate and graduate programs to prepare graduates to plan, implement,
and evaluate health services and work to protect and promote the health status of
communities.
School of Justice and Human Services
Offering undergrduate programs as well as occupational endorsements in areas of human
services, diversity and social justice, conflict resoluion, and children's behavioral
health. Provides state-wide justice-related education, research, and service, including
academic courses and degrees in Justice and in Legal Studies.

Home to training programs and facilities for allied health professionals, preparing
graduates for work in rewarding careers in Alaska's rapidly growing health care industry.

Delivers undergraduate (AAS, BSN) and graduate (MS, GC, DNP) nursing programs at wide
range of campuses across Alaska.

Home to training programs and facilities for a wide range of therapy and dental programs.

Partner Program Units
MEDEX Northwest Physician Assistant Program
A partnership between UAA and the University of Washington School of Medicine that
trains current health care professionals to become physician assistants (PAs) with
a Master of Clinical Health Services.
UAA/Creighton University Occupational Therapy program
A professional entry-level occupational therapy program offered through Creighton
University, providing students with asynchronous and synchronous teaching and learning
in a unique hybrid model.
UAA/ISU Doctor of Pharmacy Program
A collaborative program between UAA and the Idaho State University allowing students
to attend class on UAA campus while earning a Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) without
leaving the state.
WWAMI School of Medical Education
Offers both the Doctor of Medicine program in partnership with the University of Washington,
as well as a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Pre-Medical Studies to prepare students
for medical school.
Centers
Alaska Center for Rural Health and Health Workforce
helps strengthen systems to deliver comprehensive and culturally relevant health care
to rural Alaskans.
Center for Human Development
A University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research,
and Service.
Child Welfare Academy
Provides training and technical assistance to the State of Alaska Office of Children's
Services. CWA also contracts with other organizations, as requested, to provide a
variety of training and facilitation needs in the area of child welfare.
Institute for Circumpolar Health Studies
Provides technical assistance and support to increase the capacity within the state
to address the health needs of all Alaskans while also encouraging student involvement
through academic course work, internships, and research assistantships.
Interprofessional Health Sciences Simulation Center
Provides simulation events, activities, and facilities to students across the College's
broad academic programs to better prepare them for real-world scenarios.
Alaska Justice Information Center
Serves as Alaska's designated statistical analysis center with the mission to compile,
analyze, and report on criminal justice topics to policymakers and practitioners in
order to improve public safety, to increase criminal justice system accountability,
and to reduce recidivism.
