UAA Professional Clothes Closet — Free Clothing

The Professional Clothes Closet is a place where UAA students and alumni can select gently used, professional attire — FREE of charge — for interviews, internships, and as a start to building their own professional attire closet. All clothing is donated by UAA staff and faculty. Open by Appointment only. Call 907-786-4513 or email uaa_career@uaa.alaska.edu for more information or to arrange a time to select items for an outfit.

  • Anchorage Assembly Aide for Assembly Member John Weddleton
    Anchorage Assembly Aide
     
    Part-time position:  Approximately 20 hours per month. This is a non-partisan position.
    Location: Anchorage, Alaska

    Responsibilities will include:
    -Set up/maintain constituent relations database
    -Follow-up communication with constituents on status of issues. (E.g., phone calls and emails that go like this: "Assemblyman Weddleton wanted me to call to see how things are progressing on ...")
    -Occasional research on various municipal issues
    -Occasional attendance at community council meetings or similar community events
     
    Required Skills and Experience:
    -Interest in local government
    -Strong oral and written communication skills
    -Attention to detail
     
    Salary: This is a paid position with a stipend of approximately $400/month.
