Our programs are led by multidisciplinary faculty who strive to be agents of change to advance equality and justice in healthcare for all individuals—regardless of socioeconomic status, race, ethnicity, gender identity or sexuality.
Undergraduate Program
UAA’s multidisciplinary bachelor’s in health sciences degree program focuses on the foundations of public health and offers two specialized tracks to choose from. One is focused on community health education and the other focus is on additional preparation for clinical training and graduate programs.

Public Health Minor
Students majoring in a subject other than Health Sciences have the option to complete 18 credit hours and earn a minor in Public Health—a diverse field that focuses on improving the health of entire populations.

Graduate Program
With a focus on the health care and program needs of Alaska and the Circumpolar North, UAA’s accredited M.P.H. in public health practice offers a broad, interdisciplinary education with an ecological approach to protecting and promoting the health of populations.
