  • Bachelor of Arts, Communication, University of Guam (2008)

Ahliil is a communications coordinator with the UAA College of Health. She works alongside the Division of Community and Behavioral Health, which includes the Justice Center, the School of Social Work, and the Department of Human Services. Most recently, she has taken on the Division of Population Health Sciences.

She graduated from the University of Guam in 2012 with a B.A. in Communication with concentrations in Public Relations and Communication Studies, as well as a minor in Psychology. During her time in Guam, she has worked for the two most circulated newspapers on Guam as a copy editor for the Pacific Daily News, which was then under Gannet, the largest newspaper publisher in the United States, and as a digital media producer and layout artist for The Guam Daily Post. As a digital media producer for The Post, she was able to increase online visibility for the paper by bringing its social media following from 1,600 to 20,200 in just a year for Instagram and from 15,000 to 30,000 for Facebook.

Ahliil moved to Anchorage, Alaska, in December 2019 and has worked with Alaska Junior Theater, Strategic Prevention Solutions, and Creative Real Estate before joining UAA in November 2020; where she has transformed the online presence, reach, and engagement of each of the programs she closely works with. With an extensive background of 10 years in social media management, graphic and layout design, website development, marketing, branding, and public relations; journalism, and strategic planning in various subjects, Ahliil joins the COH communications team with a verifiable track record of overseeing idea development to bring projects to completion.

When she is not working, Ahliil enjoys spending time with her husband and friends, trying new recipes and restaurants, learning how to bowl, creating content on social media, working on her Camaro, traveling, catching new movies and shows, and painting. She was born and raised in the beautiful island of Guam with its warm weather, sparkling beaches, and mouth-watering food, but she also enjoys what Alaska has to offer—breathtaking winters, scenic mountain views, the many places to explore, and having the outdoors as her backyard.
