Digital Consultations

NOTE: Do Not Submit PDF'S.  Email Consultations are available through May 2nd.

The Writing Center provides high-quality tutoring via email or live GoogleDoc sessions to support students taking distance or online classes through UAA who may not be able to easily access the center's drop-in tutoring services.

Students wishing to participate in the center's email tutoring service may submit a draft of their writing through our secure web form. Writing Center staff will review the draft and provide feedback based on the criteria selected in the form. Please be as specific as possible so that we can provide you with the most relevant and helpful feedback. Please keep in mind, our staff will help identify problems and recommend solutions, but we do not provide editing services. Instead, we want to empower students to write with clarity and confidence. Writing Center staff will provide feedback within 48 hours.  Documents submitted after 6pm will be considered received the next morning.

  • Drafts may be up to seven pages double-spaced
  • Longer drafts may be submitted in sections, but the same staff member may not review each section submitted
  • For grammar-related questions, please submit no more than three double-spaced pages
  • Do not submit a PDF
