Mission

The mission of the Diesel Power Technology program is to prepare students for high paying, high demand careers in the transportation repair and maintenance field, to assist working heavy-duty diesel technicians in continuing and professional education, to assist other relevant programs (both secondary and postsecondary throughout Alaska) and to advance the image of the heavy duty diesel and transportation industry. 

The Diesel Technology program prepares graduates for careers as mechanics and technicians for medium and heavy duty equipment and trucks. Courses modeled after corporate training and based on ASE certification standards.
