Paid Summer Environmental and Wildlife Positions:

The UAA Applied Environmental Research Center (AERC) is opening the application process for summer student employment early this year. We are planning to recruit up to twelve UA students at a seasonal capacity and are willing to work around spring semester end times and fall semester start dates to improve and enhance opportunities for our students. Each student will receive a monthly stipend of $1900.00 per month and be engaged in a variety of projects that may include; land surveying, acoustic monitoring, habitat assessment, GIS work, operating a sonar fish weir system, and collecting and analyzing data on several applied research projects. All of the projects will be located on Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson, so there are some restrictions in regards to accessing the military installation.
