UAA Campus is Open
We are pleased to report the UAA Anchorage campus will open on Wednesday, Dec. 5, following last Friday's earthquake. The Chugiak-Eagle River Campus will remain closed, but classes will resume in alternative locations. Students should check UAOnline for their new meeting location. As you return to campus, we encourage you to check the web page uaa.alaska.edu/earthquakerecovery for important safety tips and resources about how to submit work requests to facilities for repairs. Quality Matters Training
Whether you're looking to become a QM reviewer or would like to improve your online courses, our QM training is designed to help you get there. Group workshops are listed below but if you'd like more personal or program oriented training, please email Debbi Canavan or call (907) 486-1202.
The Improving Your Online Course (IYOC) workshop explores the Quality Matters rubric and provides a framework to improve the quality of online and blended courses. Participants are required to have a pre-developed online or blended course to use throughout this workshop; will complete a self review; and have the opportunity to implement improvements on their own courses with the assistance of an instructional designer.

Our Applying the Quality Matters Rubric (APPQMR) is a rigorous, two-week asynchronous course for faculty, administrators, and staff to become familiar with the QM Rubric and how the standards inform course design. In this foundational course, you will step into the role of a reviewer to develop strategies for assessing course evidence to meet standards. This course is required for any QM role certification and is open to any faculty or staff member.
